Digital Leaders
After lots of amazing applications, and a rigorous interview process, we can finally announce our new Digital Leader Apprentices. The 9 successful children will now embark on a digital journey to learn about online safety, technology and how our school systems work. The journey will be assessed throughout, and at the end of the process they will gain the coveted Digital Leader position, certificate and badge.
Meet our new Digital Leaders:-
First Lego League
Our Digital Leaders joined with a few of our Eco-Commitee members and took part for the first time in the FIRST LEGO League competition.
At the beginning of December 2019, the equipment arrived at school, the Digital leaders wasted no time in building the models and learning how to build and program an autonamus robot.
The children had to workout how to complete the various missions that had been set, this included moving objects, operating models with levers and driving up on to a bridge. Through many adversaries, which included new software, broken motors and a completely new experience.
The children triumphed and succeeded in taking part in the event and really enjoyed the experience. They also had to produce a presentation for the judges based on a local issue and how they would over come it, again the children excelled.
