World Book Day at Laira Green

Wow!  What a day!  Children and staff alike have been engrossed in books, enjoying and sharing stories throughout school today whilst dressed as their favourite characters.

Please check the links to videos of children reading aloud; photos of character fancy dress winners (these have been chosen for their explanations of why their chosen character is special to them); a book scavenger hunt to choose a pre-loved book to keep and book tasings.

Every child has received a £1 World Book Day book voucher.  There are 12 specially written books for WBD that only cost £1 - a FREE book!  Or vouchers can be used towards the purchase of another WBD book.
